Can't sync with group name in Chinese

I am using thunderbird 3.1.4 and gContactSync 0.3RC1.
In thunderbird, I have several address books, some have names in English, and some have name in Traditional Chinese.
I have a new gmail account, so the contact is totally blank.
First, I set up several groups and have one-to-one maping to the address books in thunderbird.
I found that when the groups in gmail contact are in Chinese, synchonization will not work.
Then, when I change the group name to English, it works perfectly.
It's not a big problem to change the group name,
but if you have time, please fix this issue.

I found one more problem.
For the address books with Chinese name, the phone number won't sync.
Changing it the English, most  phones are synchronized,
but some are still blank.

Hello,

I do not know Chinese, so I had to copy/paste some from Wikipedia.  I created a mailing list in Thunderbird named 官话 and one in Gmail named 北方话 with one contact each.  They seemed to work OK for me.  I was also able to put some Chinese in an existing contact's e-mail address and synchronization worked.

Could you give me an example of a group/mailing list name that did not work correctly?
