When viewing messages in the Sent mail folder(s), I would like it if Contact Photos displayed the recipient photo (or first recipient) instead of the sender.

If detecting the folder name is a problem, an option to include designate a list of my own email addresses to bypass the sender photo in favor of the recipient would be fine as well.

I just wanted suggest that same thing.

Basically: If sender is me, display the picture of the recipient.

But :
  • How find out if that's me? I have plenty accounts with alternative sending adresses
  • Whose picture to display? There are three lists(!) of recipients (to, cc, bcc). For incoming messages, there is always just one sender.

How about this:
- Add the possibility to "scroll" the contact photos by adding forward/backward buttons and write the name of the person under the displayed picture.
- Skip persons with no photo
- Start with the sender, then to-list, cc, bcc.

For sent messages with only one recipient it would show the recipient's picture if you don't have yourself with a picture in your contacts list.

I think  this is a Thunderbird issue, nothing to do with gContactSync?
