Tweaks

This page contains a list of tweaks that I find useful.  Many of these tweaks, especially those listed under the "Registry" section, involve editing the Registry or some other system files/settings, which can be dangerous if done incorrecly.  Before attempting any of these tweaks make sure that you have all of your important data and the relevant file(s) backed up.

Windows XP Tweaks

• Add a "Tools" tab to msconfig
• Install the Recovery Console in the boot menu
• Show the Security tab in XP Home

Registry Tweaks

NOTE: Please make sure to backup the Registry before attempting any of these.

• Create customized Internet Explorer titles
• Change the default Download Directory
• Change the registered owner and organization
